Realtime Soft maker of UltraMon recently announced UltraMonâ„¢ 3.0 Beta 1 (3.0.0) with support for Windows Vista.

UltraMon is a well known application for adding all those little things to make Multiple Monitors more user friendly. Maximize to entire desktop, move to other monitor, and diffrent wallpaper on each monitor are some of my favorites. After the 30 day trial UltraMon runs you $39.95 as of the time of this writing.

UltraMon 3.0 Beta 1 has been released, this release introduces a redesigned Smart Taskbar with toolbar docking and support for the Windows Vista look. See the release notes for details, download here.

I personally stopped using UltraMon a while ago because it caused an issue in HalfLife 2. But now that is a few versions older I am willing to give an old favorite a second chance. Updates are few and far in between, so I’m crossing my fingers that there are no more game crashing problems for me.

Unlike Windows Display Properties, more than 10 monitors can be configured. Plus you can auto-arrange your monitors into grids.
