Ubuntu fans might not have to continue to rewrite drivers to get Multiple Monitor goodness in the future, according to a post to the Ubuntu mailing list. Sebastian Heinlein writes about improving the user interface for dual monitors, and provides screen shots of 7.10 (Gutsy Gibbon) while asking for feedback. Support for different monitor profiles would be a nice feature for commuters using Ubuntu.
