Haha, EA. They're publishing Mythic's Warhammer MMO, one of the reasons I won't be investing any money into that.

This is an awesome website on Multimonitors. I noticed that you have a lot of Panoramic games on here, but no videos on the business and multi-tasking aspects of Multimonitors. Here is a cool youtube video I found that shows the other side of multiple monitors. I love the versatility of being one large screen or multiple independent screens.

Vista security features make it very difficult to play a full-screen game. When moving away from a full-screen game, the windows desktop goes into focus.

This is horrible for games with poor alt-tab support.

Just stumbled across this while playing with cross-platform synergy (works like a charm under Ubuntu once you get the config file figured out)

Your start menu appearing when you change screens is an easy fix, in the options menu there is a checkbox marked "Don't take foreground on Windows Servers." This stops the synergy app from taking foreground when you switch to the client machine.

That should fix your problems on most games, though a few still react oddly when the mouse heads off to the client PC... FPS games in particular are picky, but you can always hit Scroll Lock (the default key binding) and confine your mouse to its' current screen.

Hope this helped :)

Just imagine having three of these! Would probably have to use the TripleHead2Go to pull it off, but having stuff you can see when you look left or right would be absolutely amazing.

Of course, you'd need to be able to change the FOV to the right value, otherwise the image will REALLY distort.

Here's a URL for a FOV formula that seems to work perfectly: http://www.htpcnews.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=8444
I've used it with Quake 3: Arena, and there's no weird stretching of the 3d objects at the edges of the screen.

(Oh, and I'll be coming back soon to the world of blogging. I know I've been AWOL for 4 months now. >.>)

To dan,

what do you mean with "logon"? Are you talking about the login to your Guest system?
Windows only works with automatic logon (via control userpasswords2), while Linux (I used ubuntu 7.10) can load synergy before the logon window appears.

Would like to hear more about it.
